Everything you need to know about renting a boat for your holiday adventure

It depends on which boat you choose!
For our Standard Fleet (Under 15hp): No, you do not need a license. These boats are designed for easy, self-drive operation. We will teach you everything you need to know before the handover.
For our Premium Fleet (Over 15hp): Yes. By law, you must present a valid SAMSA Skipper’s Ticket (Category R or higher) to operate these vessels.

No. We want your experience to be hassle-free.
All our boats are fully licensed and display current permits for the St Francis Canals, the Kromme River, and the Gamtoos River. You do not need to visit the municipality or the HOA to pay any extra fees. We have already taken care of that for you.

Don't worry, we won’t leave you stranded!
Every rental includes a mandatory, comprehensive pre-launch safety briefing. One of our crew members will show you exactly how to operate the engine, how to steer, and explain the "rules of the road" for the waterways.
We also provide a map of the safe boating zones so you can explore with confidence.

We operate on a strict "Full-to-Full" policy.
You will receive the boat with a full tank of fuel, and it must be returned with a full tank.

Your safety is our priority.
- If WE cancel: If the wind or water conditions are deemed unsafe by our crew (e.g., gale force winds), we will offer you a Store Credit Voucher valid for 12 months so you can reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule, we will process your refund.
- If YOU cancel: We do not offer refunds for overcast weather or light rain if conditions are otherwise safe. It is your responsibility to check the weather forecast.
